Then:
At 36 weeks pregnant, I was running out of options fast. It was winter, it was cold and it was uncomfortable. What better to provide comfort than a maxi dress? It's like wearing a Snuggie or a Slanket or your wearable blanket of choice.
Now:
Maxi dress: Old Navy (similar)
Jacket: Ben Sherman
Belt: Macy's
Earrings: H&M
Watch: Michael Kors
Flats: Steve Madden
I'm still wrestling with my lack of a California tan this season, so a maxi dress sounds just right. I put a blazer over it for the office and reintroduced the big belt to make it look a bit more polished. Nude flats made my feet less obvious than black flats. After work, the blazer was swapped for a cardigan just in time for a walk to the Farmer's Market, where I ate the most delicious smoked portabello po'boy from a traveling food trailer. I'll be remixing this maxi all summer long and possibly into my next pregnancy...not that it is coming soon!
While I have your attention, it is time for the periodic plea for some love on Top Baby Blogs! The votes have reset and I would love your support. Two clicks below and I will be your best friend. Yep. I'm that easily pleased.

I'm loving the maxi dress but haven't found the right one yet. I love what you did with the belt - I'm always worried it will look like a tent! :) Oh, and I voted!
ReplyDeleteYou look amazing! Love that you are getting so much use out of your clothes! I just packed up all my maternity and gave it to Salvation Army. ;0)

The belt has been my go-to item when it comes to "un-tenting" a lot of my clothes. I might have to do a post on my love of the belt! Thanks for voting!
