And the $25 Boden Gift Card Winner is...

http://www.bodenusa.com/en-US/

OK, so you are probably wondering why I didn't announce this on Friday. Is it because:

A) Tryptophan put me into a food-induced coma?
B)  I was trampled in a Black Friday line?
C)  I got caught up in relaxing with my family?

It was C, but A and B were close contenders for the win. But I'm here to announce the winner of the $25 gift card from Boden!  The winner is....

Bryony!

Please email me to claim your gift card and congratulations!

ASOS Maternity Line

During my pregnancy, I was on the search for maternity clothes that had personality, style and affordability. Feel free to browse through all my maternity looks.

I discovered that ASOS, an online brand I already loved, had a maternity line. Hurray! They make quality clothes at a great price for all shapes and sizes! It almost makes me wish I was 7 months pregnant right now so I could rock these looks. Almost...my swollen ankle memories aren't that far out of mind yet.

Today, I'm partnering with ASOS to share some of my favorite pieces currently for sale. Stay tuned for the end - we have a giveaway in progress!

Here is what I'm spying and recommending...

Gorgeous dresses:

Wide-strap maxis: I tried to pull of non-maternity maxis when I was pregnant, but always found that thin straps became a major issue. When you are holding onto some extra weight in the bust, wide straps will make a self-conscious mama feel much more at ease.

Crepe midi-dress: If you don't like clingy fabrics on your bump, crepe is a nice compromise. It hangs and flows beautifully and makes a dress look much more expensive than most maternity dresses in jersey stretch. I would wear this dress to work because of the high neckline and long length to feel completely stylish and appropriate.

Shirt dress: This dress caught my eye because the floral feels very on trend and the sleeves give maximum coverage while still being flirty. It strikes me as very vintage inspired.

The Essentials:

Long sleeve tees: There is little more timeless than a long sleeved Breton striped tee. I'm not one to subscribe to the idea of avoiding stripes when pregnant. I find stripes to be a compliment to a pregnant belly. You've got it there for all the world to see - flaunt it!

Leggings: They might seem like the lazy way out, but a quality pair of thick leggings can be a staple in your styling. Long tees and tunics work well with leggings. Basic black is slimming, comfortable and if paired with boots, they are your new favorite pants.

Nursing tanks: I lived in my nursing tanks after my son was born to the point where they felt like they became part of my body. Next time around, I'm running to pick this tank up. The longer length is great for women of average to tall height or just for those looking for a little extra coverage as your body settles back into place post-partum.

My personal style:

Rocker tee: I would wear this shirt this coming weekend if I had it in my size. Rock it, mama.

Distressed maternity skinny jeans: I lived in boots at the end of my pregnancy because of terrible edema. A cool pair of skinnies would get a lot of wear in my house.

Black pencil skirt: Staying work appropriate and stylish is a challenge. This black pencil skirt could be paired with any variety of blouses for office attire. It is on my list for #2!

ASOS is offering three - that's right, THREE winners - 20% off coupon codes. The codes are good for the entire ASOS site, so you don't have to be pregnant to get a good deal. All you have to do to enter is:

1.  Visit ASOS and share your favorite maternity piece in the comments.

Bonus entries (leave one comment for each action taken):

2. Follow Teal In Motion on Facebook, Twitter, Google Friend Connect (see sidebar) and/or Pinterest. Just comment and let me know!

Winners will be announced February 5th. Good luck!

Stella & Dot Giveaway

DSC00618

Playing dress-up with jewelry - not just for little kids.

Turtleneck: Club Monaco
Pants: H&M
Wedges: Payless
Necklace: Stella & Dot Pegasus

Last weekend, I attended my friend Stacey's launch party for her new role as a Stella & Dot stylist. There is a lot of Stella & Dot in magazines and on the style blog scene, but I'd never seen it in person. I was completely smitten. I patted myself on the back for planning ahead and wearing a shirt that served as a neutral backdrop to all the jewelry. With the Pegasus around my neck, I strutted around like I was really somebody.

You couldn't get me to take off this necklace. IN LOVE. Here are some other shots of all the jewelry I adored...

DSC00614 DSC00605 DSC00602 DSC00626

I bought the triple set of rings on the far right and was inspired by the use of broaches as a means to triple up pearl strings.

I'm thrilled to announce that I'm hosting a Stella & Dot giveaway! Below are my favorite, pop-of-color earrings, the Serenity Stone drops.

In order to win:

1. Go to Stella & Dot and leave a comment telling everyone your favorite piece.

For additional entries:

1. Follow Expecting Chic on Facebook.
2. Follow Expecting Chic on Twitter.
3. Follow Expecting Chic on Pinterest.

That's four chances to win! The winner will be announced on Tuesday, Feb. 7th, chosen by random.org. Good luck!

PS...if you have questions about Stella & Dot or upcoming trunk shows in the greater Bay Area/Sacramento, Stacey said you can totally Twitter her.

babybonkie: Review and Giveaway Contest

I was recently approached by babybonkie to review their products.  Since my son has become a bit too independent for a swaddle (seriously, this kid will not be hindered from rocking and rolling), I tried out their sleep sack: the ecobonkiebag.

You can find babybonkie products at fine retailers such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Barney's and Nordstroms, and there is a reason for that. This sleep bag is heavenly.  Not only is the material lush and soft, it is made of 100% organic cotton.  My son has been having some skin rash issues as of late, so organic threads have become a bit of a must.  The fabric design, as seen below, is a mellow blue.  What I like best about this sleep sack is that it has a v-neck in the front.  I have had concerns about other sleep sacks I've encountered that the material might slide up around my baby's face in the night.  The v-neck styling eases all my concerns. The ecobonkiebag is for babies sized 6-12 months so there is plenty of length to grow into it. I could not be more tickled about babybonkie!

Please note: all the raspberries being blown in each picture by the model, Keagan, are a sure sign of approval. It's his version of a thumbs up.

This week, I'll be giving away a fantastic babybonkie swaddle.  To enter, sign up to Google Friend follow Expecting Chic and please visit babybonkie to let me know in the form of a comment which products you are now dying to have for your very own.  For additional entries, you can make another comment after you follow Expecting Chic on Twitter or on Facebook. That's 3 chances to win! The contest ends on Thursday, June 16th at 5:00 PM PST and a winner will be randomly chosen via random.org on Friday, June 17th and notified by email.  Good luck!
